Good Price?????

Hey guys i just totally destroyed my engine and i need to have it bored .40 to .060 over and new reeds. For the labor, boring, piston, and reeds, is 350-400 bucks a good price? Thanks for the input

im assuming thats to put it all back together to..i got a 1 /12 wisco piston kit for 88 dollars and the maching was 50.i did the rest of the work by myself and i would recommend it its not hard.But if your having a bike shop do it thats probably about right they charge about 45 or more an hour so..i would look in the diy and try it its kinda fun..pce

it's what i paid... AN NO IT IS NOT A GOOD DEAL!!!!!!

take it to a machine shop... bring them your new piston kit... have them bore it out to the pistons specs..... wash it good when you get home...

buy a torque wrench and do it all yourself....

i hate myself for not doing that.

i just got mine bored again and every time i got the piston, gasket kit, and the machine work done, it was only $116. with reeds prolly $140, that is deffinitly not a good deal. a top end rebuild isnt that hard either so just put it together yourself

i just did my hole top end for $96 myself! Its pretty easy to do, use the guide in the DIY section and you'll be fine!

i rebuilt my top end not even knowing how to ride a quad last summer let alone fix one for only 60$ all by myself!

long story how i got the blaster but i got it and it was blown up sooo i took it apart

trial by error and finaly i got it right took awhile tho

i didnt have to bore it (didnt know what that was at the time lol)
all i bought was a new piston and rings and circlips

i reused the gaskets cuz i didnt know any better



......... my blaster blew up a couple weeks ago from.. you guessed it A BLOWN HEAD GASKET

so yeah replace ur gaskets while ur at it.. i wish i did.
plus now i have a grooved cylinder and bla bla bla f*ck it so i got a 240 kit and a 34mm pj.. now im 500 in debt shiiit

but yeah if i could do it alone.. you can def do it with a DIY goo 4 itttt

i got mine bored at the dealership and he got me the piston and gasket kit for only 116, but he takes the head to his home to bored or hone it so he gets that money and he does it for cheap 2
