Going with larger carb...will it help my low end at all???

I am putting a keihin 28 pkw on my blaster and I want to know if it will help on the low end. I just got the motor ported with and agressive dune port, had the head shaved 25 thousanths, and had the dome polished. It runs like a raped ape but I feel I lost a little low end, almost like it stumbles a little at low rpms. Dont get me wrong, it still wheelies from a stand still. I am also wondering what I should jet the new larger carb to. I am at sea level (south florida) with toomey pipe, uni filter, no airbox lid, aggresive dune port, polished dome, shaved head, and I wil be doing +4 timing later in the week.I wanna get a round about idea of where I should be for jetting. Currently I am running a 350 main in the stock carb. Thanks for the help!

with an agressive dune port i would run a 33mm pwk.but the 28 should ghet you a good gain everywhere in the band.

i had the OKO on my old toomey bike...145 seemed about right but with the dune port you might want to start in the 160's and work your way down if it seems rich, better to start rich and work your way down to a perfect lean then vice versa...

i want to put a 35 on mine eventually, after i get my toomey b1 pipe kit.....is it worth it? i have a 250ex and its hard to stay with it on my trails because the 250ex has great low end power, and blaster has better top end.

The power gains from a boost bottle are little to none, they are not worth the money. Go to E2S and do a search for them and read there reviews on them. B-)

nah dude we can debate this all day but the fact of the matter is, you jam the throttle air needs to quikly come from somewhere a boost bottle doesnt give you a POWER GAIN it gives you more accute throttle responce, there is no denying that no matter what anyone says. not power, but throttle responce, and low end power is all based on throttle responce, a boost bottle is necessary!

if you think low end power isnt based on throttle responce, what happens when ur throttle doesnt go fast enough when ur riding a wheelie? (yoking the wheelie like throttle in throttle out in out in out in out real quik) when you have bad responce timeings you cant yoke it fast enough to keep the front end up. and by the looks of his picture, THIS IS WHY HE WANTS MORE LOW END ARM PULL, *the faster the throttle goes the harder ur arms pull

AND by people who say it doesnt add POWER, are correct in the sence of power like horse power. but as for arm pulling throttle responce a boost bottle doesnt help out ALOT like its not the best thing you can buy, but it does indead help out quite a bit for such a little peice of sh*t.

Power = no
Throttle response = maybe

If you're bike is set up right with the correct parts you should have no problem with throttle responce. Like you said, this can be debated all day as it has been done before. My bike has no loss of throttle responce anywhere in the powerband, so personally I see no use for one, at least for myself. It does not matter to me who spends their money on what, as long as you are out riding and keeping the sport alive you are ok in my book. I:I
