gearing for the races

With all the expertise on this forum this should be an easy one for you guys.

What is the gearing i should run my blaster in mx?
what about flattrack?

Right now in mx i am constanly shifting. Like down 2 gears in turnes then up 2 as soon as i get out of a turn.

Any one know anything about this?

either 14/40 or 14/38, depending on your engine mods. list em.

right now just pipe aluminum air box, k&n filter. nothing internal

i run 14/38 for mx racing. alot of your gearing is going to depend on your mods, like 89 said but its also going to depend on the mx track your racing. if your constantly shifting and your motor can pull a higher gear then try either a bigger front sprocket or a smaller rear sprocket.
if you've never flat tracked before, i'd sugest you go to the track your thinking about racing at and ask a couple of the local racers what there running for gearing as well as there other mods. 99% of the local racers would be more then happy to answer a few questions about racing.
