so i was riding preaty hard yesterday and soonafter i saw smoked and smelled burnig oil i looked down and saw oil everywere .so we got the head off and resealed the gasket w sealer and idea how long this can hold up the gasket was still in good shape

Those head gaskets can only be used once, when you torque it down it compresses to make a good seal and can't be used again.
So to fix this you're going to want to take you're head off and check if it's warped or not, if it is you can get it milled or buy a good used one. If it's not get all the old gasket and sealer off the head and cylinder and put a new gasket on (a Yamaha gasket from the dealer is best) and torque the head in a criss cross pattern to 20 ft-lb. Then do 3 or 4 heat cycles, re-torque the head and you're good to go.

But while you have it apart I would recommend getting a top end gasket set and check you're piston, rings and the bore while you're at it.

we wrode it for about an hour and a half after the sealer was put on and its holding for now.no loss of power or visible leakes.but ill chang the gaskets soon as i get paid..its only a temorary fix.is there anything bad that can happen by doing this?
