FMF---->>>> Shearer?????

Hey everyone I want everyones opinion, which pipe is better FMF fatty w/ powercore 2 silencer ----> or a Shearer pipe? and what part of the powerband does the shearer pipe effect? thanks

the shearer is a left bend pipe, not like the right bend f7's
and appears to be just a stock shaped pipe with no baffles in it like the stockers

the fmf's are far superior to the shearers !!!!!!!!!!!!

^ x2 on that if you are not planning alot of engine work with your blaster a fmf or better yet a toomy will get you plenty of power. if you are planning on say a big bore kit or porting and all that then an f7 would be better suited.

^x3 on that. Ha Right Bend= Manily Big Bore Left Bend= Smaller engine work. But not in all cases do you have to use a right bend pipe striclty for bbk's. You can get it just beacuse it's an aftermarket pipe.

I will agree with all the above. I've ran them back to back and the FMF was alot better al around. Now if ya want even more add a toomey silencer to the FMF header...holy sh*t!! (which I need to thank Ken OConnor for)

i ran a lrd pipe on a fairly stock blacker.. just a k&n no lid and reeds, with a fmf turbinecore2 silencer and loved it.. mid-top pipe and with the longer silencer it brought the power down a little lower, i could wheelie damn near at idle

whether its a right bend or left bend makes absolutely no difference....an F7 would still perform like an F7 and an FMF like an FMF if the actual cone diameters are the same, the bend doesn't really matter.


and now a question:
what does the FMF NOT do that you WANT it to do.

thats why the ONLY bigbore-specific pipes are left bend??

i have a shearer on mine, and you could say it rips pretty good you could get one and try it on your setup. if you like it better then keep it, if not you could just sell it again..

dont get the hole right bend on big bore things i heard vitos and cpi are amazing on big bores thats what there made for if i were to go with a bbk thats what id run dont get me wrong im not saying f7 and lrd or dynoport sucks just saying i think you couldnt out perform a big bore pipe on a big bore quad
i would get the fmf if you ride trails alot its an amazing trail pipe wouldnt run it on a dunner though if thats you in your avatar i would get something for mid to top power like a lrd dynoport or f7
