Got the Flotek Aggressive trail port on a Vito's big bore with a 3mm stroker. 35mm carb, vforce reeds, fat bastard pipe. 31 horsepower on pump gas. Not too bad. Ran St. Clairsville GNCC, no issues throughout the race. I Recommend Flotek.

You HAVE to give us more than that..................
How did it pull?
Did you make any gearing changes?
Plan to?
Can you get it to hook up?
Night and day difference?

theres more room there....you can probly make more than 31 easily.....but a good start.

And the trail port is the tamer porting too.
What do these put to the wheels when stock?
Like 15hp?
31hp is close to what a stock 450 based 4 stroke makes (minus the torque of course).
That thing has to be a blast to ride.

Denny (Flotek) told me that with a the right components (porting/head work, big bore, 35mm a/s, exhaust, and 3mm stroker) that 45whp is possible while both being rideable and reliable (I am sure that it would be less reliable than a stock engine). Angus (Kennedy) can get the same power also and last I knew he was working on kit pricing for both 40 and 50 something whp engines. I do have to say that at these kinds of power levels these would be more dune or drag orientated powerbands.

I agree that more horsepower can be achieved, but I wanted reliablility to run harescrambles. Remember that this is a pump gas cylinder. I also don't know how much more horsepower the clutch will handle for two hours at a time.

The power delivery with the fat bastard is a little pipey, I may change the pipe to move the power delivery down in the RPM range. It is a total blast to ride, and alot of 450 4 stroke riders looked surprised to be passed by a 2 stroke.

Handles like a DREAM. (This is a blaster engine in a Honda 450r, gets some strange looks)

you can have plenty of reliability with higher horsepower bikes. just gotta know how to build them. besides if your blaster engine is in a 450r frame, well then you got a bit of a bigger bike. i agree that peak HP isnt the important part. it all about where you make power. but if you are riding a 450r you can easily have a manageable bike thats reliable with 40-50hp. a blaster chassis is much smaller and may be a pain to ride harescrambles running 40-50 hp. i ride my 60hp banshee everywhere.....with no trouble.

got any pictures of this blaster/450r hybrid/strange look getter?
