What is the significance of the t.o.r.s. system? What happens when you take it off?

When putting a new pipe on, do you go up or down in jet size?

Should i mix my gas if i still have the oil tank on the back is still on and in use?

What things should i do maintenance wise if i ride once a week at Croom( dusty)?

How often should you rebuild Top end, carb, and bottom end?

What are some cheap engine mods?

thanks!

tors is a throttle override system and can be taken off cuz it can cause some problems in the future. Up in jet size for and upgrades including pipe. If you have the tank full and have not deleted the oil injection pump then dont premix. Regular maintenence will include air filter cleaning, checking for airleaks every so often, cleaning the carb every so often. Top end should be done when the piston to cylinder wall clearance is out of spec, bottom end when crank goes out or bearings go out. Carb rebuild isnt that necesary unless floats are out of spec or some catastrophic failure.

Cheap engine mods include, aftermarket pipe, air filter with open airbox, slightly bigger carb, and reeds.

Bigger carb allows more air/fuel = more power. If you don't have a modded motor you don't really need a bigger carb. The TORS and parking brake system are known to cause problems. Just put it in first gear if you don't want it to roll away. Ported reed cage and advanced timing are free mods. Need reed gaskets, correct flywheel puller and Dremal rotary tool. I:I

Thanks! For right now I think ill go with boyesen reeds, a pro circuit exhaust and bigger jets in the stock 26mm carb. I'll go bigger when I need a new top end.
