I would like to replace my factory swing arm with an extended version. I enjoy jumping dunes and wheeling alot, does anyone have any sugestion on what size I should go with? I was planning on going with a +4 extension, what does everyone think?

+4 is good. thats that i have. i ride trials, MX, and sand. I also ride alot of rick pits and river beds. some people would say a +3, but my +4 made it almost the same length as a YFZ. anuthing over +4 would be for dunes and drag.

Extended A-Arm

If you get one of those extended A-arms like the one on Ebay, what else do you need to replace? I guess the chain, hydraulic brake lines and maybe the rear shock. What has anyone ran into?
Thanks

if you go with a +2 or +3 your stock shock will work, not sure about anything over 3", I'm sure someone can answer that. One thing I noticed with my +3 is that the stock shock is alot softer with the added leverage that the swingarm creates.

I figured that with the added leverage of the swingarm. My rear shock is all the way down and set on soft, so I dont worry to much about it being soft, its just the extra parts like the chain and hydraulic brake lines I worry about. They are as expensive as getting a swing arm.

um any atv shop will have it, you can find some really cheap stuff on ebay. whatever you do dont add more to your stock chain with another master link. you need size 520, and it is up too you if you get o-ring, or non o-ring.
