Warning,
do not polish your exhaust port, as some suggest isn't required.
or run Maxima Super M
if you don't want this............

ZERO carbon after a full, hard season last year I:I

piston, head and cylinder walls look spotless also.

man thats clean BTW how much is the maxima superM your way anyhow cause its like $16 a pint or 16 OZ at my stealership by me. The only thing id do is hook up a polish wheel to a dremel to polish it out for good measure lookin good.

Holly crap that's clean.. after a full year??? Wow!! Looking good.. I don't know about awk but i myself do a tear down of sorts every year. Just actually took my pipe of as well on the one blaster to do a leak test and i didn't look any thing like that. All black n crusty. That's about to change though. Doing a port n polish soon as my tools come.. I've been using yama lube but i don't know what previous owner was using.. I'm going to continue with that n check down the road how things are going..

ha thats funny im gonna do a tear down at the end of the year and do another home port after the race season. Mines a tad black from the PO but it looks pretty decent cause ive been using amsoil premix

i wish i had a reason for a full rebuild again this year...maybe next year :)

yes thats a wiseco...is there any other brand ? :)

if you notice in the pics, the right side flange bolt semi-stripped out last year, so i used a larger american bolt, and tapped it in there with the flange/pipe still on, at the time i wanted to ride that day, the bolt was too long and had washers stacked up, and since i had my nerfs off to fix a busted clutch basket gear, i pulled my pipe to reseal it and fix that bolt

I just had to snap a few pics of the lack of carbon, and that massively wide exhaust port everyone failed to notice I:I

That's real clean. I'm surprised with how hard you ride that it would be that clean.

it's really not how hard i ride, but more how much and the amount of hours on it thats amazing it's that clean.
my previous 2 season motor was equally as clean when sent to ken last spring.
gotta credit the polished exhaust port, only 93 sunoco, maxima super m @ 32:1, and my meticulous jetting/maintenence/filter cleaning regimen.

That SuperM is probably the best oil to run in terms of having little to no carbon build up. It's a smokeless formula which is really weird for a 2 stroke considering most other oils smoke like a chimney, especially on start up. Maxima makes awesome oils tho, and we all know brotha Awk would NOT be using it if they didn't. For some reason I switched from the SuperM to Castor927 ( also Maxima ) when I rebuilt my top/bottom end last spring. It's still a really good oil but HOLY CARBON ! ! !

I run amsoil dominator, and i have little build up, a little in my exhaust port. I have never ran maxima, maybe ill try running it this season, all i hear is good things about it.

Smokeless...Ive been running the Yamahalube W3 smokeless in my GP 800 and Wave Blaster 2 watercraft for years, not weird.
