HELP!!! my exhaust keeps falling off.. well the rear section to expansion chamber connection falls off!! when i got my blaster it had stock exhaust with a piece of tin wrapped around that cennection to hold it together.. worked fine but leaked... now i have a answer slip on spark arrestor on and i replaced the tin with rubber heater hose for acar and it lasted about 20 min and fell off. so i put it back on and then it got hard and broke in half!!
so i went to fleet farm and got some reinforced pvc type hose.. its basicly clear tubing with nylon braids in it and its good for 175 degrees... figured it would be ok for now tell i get a full system......
well i make 3/4 of alap around the oval track about a hour ago and it fell off!!.. even with the clamps as tight as i can get them WTF is going on here??? there is no lip on the pipe to help hold connectors on ( like intercooler piping for aturbo car or raditors for radiator hose)

how the hell can i keep my exhaust connected??

keep in mind im poor right now and cant afford something like this

sounds like something isnt bolted on right as far as your silencer and piple. Like not bolted to the frame. It seems like the movement of the engine is pulling the two exhaust pieces apart. Make sure that everything is bolted up propperly. Also, you using hose clamps or something similar to hold your little rubber connector together right?

yeah radiator hose clamps.. not the el cheapo wallmart ones ether.. i get mine from advance auto parts... i was kinda thinking the movement i have a hose clamp holding the silencer on... it dont fit like the stocker its off a dirty bike and has nice mid to high rpm power with it.. ( jettin is good.. well rich though) thinking im gonna have to fab up something to keep it from moving

Well i know with my FMF pipe pipe the silencer slides over the Pipe just a little bit. that way it is metal over metal and that gasket is just keeping it tight together and leak free. Does the tube coming from your silencer to your pipe slide over or not?

..... silence does slip over the pipe.. just saying i had to cut the stock silencer off the rest of the exhaust to put it on... its the connection at the expansion chamber/ mid pipe that keeps fallin off... im gonna try a few things today and see if i can get it to stay together

I got the stock exhaust connector, between the pipe and silencer from a local yamaha dealer for $10
