Hey guys I'm rebuilding my 2002 Blaster and doing everything but the motor for the time being until it goes next time. Cause I'm low on money and I'm happy with what I'm going to be doing with it. P.S. I hope to add many pictures when I start on it this weekend to show the progress. But for now just wait.
Suspension
I'm taking stock 87 front banshee shocks and swapping those out with the stockers. Changeing out both of the uppers with ones off of a 93. As well as putting 87 banshee hydros on the old fashioned way by reaming cutting and pressing the spindles and installing them with a guide from dirtwheels magazine.
Carb
Cleaned out the gunk in the pilot and main jet passageways throughly and is now very clean both inside and out. My jetting is an AB148 main and 50 pilot with the needle on the #2 clip from the top. For an elevation of range of 610ft -650ft where I will be riding and or racing. I am also adding Boyesen Pro Series Reeds to give a much needed crisper throttle response.
Plastics
I shaved down both front wings of the plastic for a similar maier race fender look. Also ordered a 2003 black shark nose so it has a sleak sharp profiled look
will most likely add wire mesh in the light fixture cavity. Still waiting on that because it is backorderd. The back plastics are going to stay the same shape. What I'm going to do for color is do yellow on the edges up the seat line on both sides and leave the middle section black under the seat and such. That way I will have the hood, tank, and seat all black and will be cordinated with a sectional yellow black yellow scene.
