Engine starter swap out for ?????

Ok , has anybody experienced one of those Chinese ATV 250 motors and needed to replace the electrical starter ? If you did , did you replace it with one from ... a Honda ... or another brand ... or just an original POS ?
I am wanting to do a swap out for one from a Honda or something , but can not find anywhere that tells which starter will swap out on it .
I had one from a Honda bike ( CM400T ) , but the starter is a series wound starter and rotates the wrong way . So , I am not sure if there are any other Honda starters that would work or not ( Honda due to that these engines are take-offs of Hondas )

Anybody ?

alot of times on those, you can just pull the armature out and inspect the brushes...they are almost always worn completly or bound up and not applying pressure. you can buy a set of brushes for like 15 bucks and there close to universal. just gotta know how to solder

i think the only chinese stuff that will interchange with name brand stuff is lifan... lifan actually makes good motors and there pretty mcuh a honda clone to begine with

hit your honda dealer web site. I found a lot of parts for my boy's 110 on them.
