Engine stalling

Hello,
I just bought a blaster a few months ago and noticed that when i turn full lock left the motor backfires and then stalls out. Im thinking a short somewhere but last time I assumed it was a decomp. cable. So should i break out the multi meter of is there someplace else i should look? If it is electrical any ideas where to start?

sounds like mabe the throttle cable is binding up somewhere

id just take the hood off and check all the wires from the bars and under the hood
