Hi all.

I finally rebuild my engine, TOTALLY rebuild, every screw, all bearings, new crank, piston etc etc etc.. I have put all together myself via a Blaster service manuel..

But there was a problem.. when i drove my little test ride at the street, I only made i 400 m back and forth before suddenly the clutch handle seemed loose! .. Like the cable was snapped for instance..

I stopped and noticed that the cable was in fact intact, and properly connected to the clutchlever on the engine block.. I tried with my hand to pull the lever and that was also loose.. Like its not coming back like its supposed to do (spring effect) ... Now what can be the problem ?

I guessing it has something to do with the little bolt on the center of the clutch and the pushrod in some way, It did seemed a little strange to me durintg assemble i remember.. Could this be it? Could it be loose? incorrect installed? not properly tightn ? (i am very sure i did tightn it with torque, not sure tough) or something completly diffrent?

Please note i JUST put the entire engine and clutch together.. So maybe i made a mistake, but anyone recognizes?

Thanks

Lasse

if you havent already, take off the clutch cover and check it out. i can see that rod coming loose or something, maybe worse, ripped through. id check it out.

Yeah its properly coming loose? But how? I mean i am really sure i torqued everything by specifications? I only drove nice and easy as im breakin in... but you think it could be loose.. ? I will reopen the clutch cover and drain the oil again i guess. . . But i guess the only way to find out is opening clutch cover..

i got my motor back from a yami dealer, and on the first ride, after proper breakin of course, i had the same symptons as you, the nut on the end of the clucth rod did come loose, and probably would'a fell into the clutch basket and caused a sure catastrophy if i wouldnt have caught it, , i wouldnt ride it till i checked that out, adjust it up, per the manual, tighten it good and use some good locktite

Ok just what i wanted to hear guys! .. great! .. ill buy some ekstra strong locktite.. and check that bolt.. because it was correct in the first place.. i wonder where i can get red locktite?
