I need some help I just bought a 2003 blaster for $300 that would not start, as soon as I got on it to kick start it I knew what the problem was. you could feel a little compression but you can barely put a little weight on the kick starer and it just falls anyway I could not pass it up for so cheap but the question is the guy said it was already .040 over so I want to take it to .060 with nice carb, reeds, pipe, etc. will it be reliable. I know they are air cooled and thats the only reason I am asking this question. I want it fast but there is no sense in spending money if its going to overheat and break, also removing tors and oil injection thanks

boring .60 over isnt going to to effect cooling at all. i Think you will be fine. What i want to know is why is it an 03 and its on its 2nd rebuild already.

i would pick it up for 300, just hone out the cylinder and throw some new rings on and she should be good to go .. as for over heating if its jetted properly you shouldnt have any problems ,unles you are just putting around .. but normal trial riding you should be fine ..

thanks i appreciate you guys helping me out just took the head off the piston has a chunk missing out the top of it did not hurt the cylinder and to answer the question why its on its second rebuild is the oil injection failed go figure huh, thanks

go the smallest size up as you can. if it only needs .010 go .010 dont go up .030 unless needed, wont increase power by much if anythiing noticable.

Yea boring it won't increase power unless u get a 240 kit. I have 3 pistons all are .20 size apart and just looking you can't see any size diffrence
