Engine back fires when tryin to start

When I am try to start my blaster it backfires and I don't know why. I had to modify my exhaust I got would that make a problem?

im thinking its an electrical issue, could be a bad woodruff key on you flywheel

mine did this, and the guy said it was cause my mixture was too rich but I doubt that's your problem

Ok thanks I will try that. I got my exhaust for 20 but it had not engine bracket

don't take my word I really really doubt thats why it's backfiring I'm just telling you why mine did it..

I checked my woodruff key and it's fine. What else would cause it too back fire??

I have had this happen too, I think its unburned fuel when you shut it off and let it sit over night

...just throwing that out there

ur timing in ur carb could be a lil messed up.....thats what mine was..

change the plug for one, if that doesnt clean it up and is it a after market exaust if so lean on pilotjet
