well i decided to get rid of some motorcycle parts and some extra 3 and 4 wheeler parts i wasnt going to use anymore so i listed em up on ebay.....Jeez at all the damn fees from ebay and therelisting fees and final value fees and then paypal with their fees to use them and shipping well lemme put it this way it cost me 82 freekin bucks to ship a rear brake caliper and cable to one place and a warrior white brothers exhaust silencer to another and some floorboards and a bumper to the other and i still havent shipped a 250sx rear rack cant wait to see how much that is gonna be...so now out of the 265.00 that i sold i get about maybe 90 :o out of that...so my ? is how the hell do u sell on ebay and actually make money and not charge somebody an arm and a leg to cover all the fees. seems i would have made more from the scrap yard junkin all of it

you gotta see what it will cost to ship it than list it for that on your auction.. not $10 below that

yeah i was going by what i shipped other stuff before.... my wife shipped it fed ex should have used usps like always...but still 24 dollars to ship a brake caliper thats outrageous and 35 to ship an exhaust

yup, gotta make sure you get your money to cover shipping and then maybe a little extra too cuz ebay doesn't take any out of the shipping.

I always Charge more on the shipping We just call it a handling fee lol Cost money to goto the Post Office and time ... Shipping fee;s arent included in ebays cut ;)

I typically find out how much its gonna cost to ship then add like 5-10 bux for the handling fees depending on what it is. Thatll help cover the listing fees and gas to take it to the shipping place plus your packaging supplies.

eBay can be sooo tricky at times. Sometimes you can't get a decent bid and other times, people get into a bidding war and you make out ok. I bought an FMF pipe for my YZ 250 for $30. It arrived and was actually for a YZ 125. Instead of shipping it back to the guy, I relisted it and got $45 out of it. Also, bought a r/c mini-helicopter at Kohls after X-mas for $12. Already had 2, so eBayed it for $35. Every little bit helps nowadays...

I use ups and usps.Whoever has the better price gets the business,if not I walk out and go to the other.Ebays fees are rediculous. You can also make the buyer use the shipping calculator and pay the exact amount.
