went to the power sports dealer to see what they had for used quads..... they got a 06? 400ex for 3300, a few raptors.. a 2002 blaster, a 03 mojava a 300ex and some other stuff......

anywas in the show room i noticed a can am ds 450 on sale.. 4,485 for a brand new 2008 left over.... and it caught my eye... i did some math and payments qould be like 75-80 bucks a month on it if i figured right.... ( how many years are power sport loans on brand new??))

been looking them up and there quick machines.... supposto be light and powerful345 lbs dry.. 38 mm valves 46mm throttle body 97mm piston, 11 something compression ratio... and handle good.... anyone rode one?? pro's cons?? thoughts?

ive only heard great things bout em and man thats a great deal!!!! if you can afford an extra monthly payment id jump on it!! it aint the fastest in the 450 category but its still a 450 and i hear the handeling is incredible.

Id jump on it.

no ....dont buy...i know a banshee can beat a DS650...so those 450s must be really slow...

idk..there was a big arguement on bansheehq...ya i think it was a piped babshee...idk

well i havent herd much about them.. it would be nice to have something besides a 400ex or a660 around here... thats kinda why it caught my eyes.. they have a ds 450x there to on sale for 5100.... im seriously thinking about going back there and seeing if i can get financed for it...

i would finance it then BEAT THE SHIIIITTTT out of it...like jump it and heavy beatings

cos you ever tryed to ride a dirt bike in snow with out eating sh*t??? lol.. i know a few guys that have ds utility quads and ride them hard and no problems...

the ds seems it would fit my needs.. light and decent power for the type of riding i do.. and fuel injected

well i have heard good and bad....i have only sat on one and not rode one but i really like the feel. I have heard they have a real narrow powerband but with a diffrent mapping ( you have to cut a wire to get it) pipe and filter they really wake up. I have heard of tehm blowing up when put under extreme stress ( major porting, bbk, stroker) but over all a great machine like all other 450's

idk....i geuss if you need a utility/sport but if i was going to get a 450 i would get a yamaha or a a sport one

calcium the ds 450 is a sport quad... if i get one all it will get it pipe, filter and power programmer... ... i wouldnt mind another blaster but face it.. im to big for one.. and want something better suited to my weight

+2 on ktm being over priced... if i were to go that route it would be a polaris outlaw 525( ktm motor) and cheaper

the ds450 is fast as sh*t!!!!

but they are very fragile.. they break like an egg

I would stay away unless you have a large budget

LOL...just everyone is getting one these days...its like celebrities having babies its the latest trend LOL

thanks tjs.. thats the kinda stuff i wanted to hear.. im 255 pounds... i dont really jump stuff.. the aluminum no weld frame seems like i great idea and it works but idk.. im a big guy i bought a dk cleveland bmx bike all 4130 chromoly.. lol i need strong stuff..

and the only way i would get a banshee is if it was 100% stock.... and only thing id do is power core silencers.. to keep it reliable
