recieved the CT240 motor today, here it is....
she is a little rough but i got it cheap and its going to be rebuilt anyways so it was a good score! I:I

Looks fine to me. Just a little dirty. The head looks a little rough but the whole thing will look great after its rebuilt.

yeah shes a little rough, i will probably resleeve it,i want a fresh start since im sinking so much into it. not sure yet. the head is pretty badly knicked up but im sure its fixable. for what i got it for its not too bad.

to me that looks like a vitos 240 topend... am i missing something?

That engine may have been built by CT racing but that's a "sleeve" 240, not the CT240 BBK.

Take a good bore size measurement, it's possible you could bore that top end to 73mm.

The head is awful beat, you'll probably want to get a different one cut. Cleaning up some of those knicks might take enough off to lower the combustion chamber volume significantly.

actually i dont see any tripple ports it cant be a vito's either. i think civic is right. a sleeved stock jug maybe

CT racing offers a "sleeve" 240 kit for the stock jug. That plus a liberal amount of porting will put out good power. The port layout is inferior to the CT240 "la sleeve" 240 kit but that top end should still scream. Especially if you got a good deal on it!

it's def not a vitos it looks nothing like my other 240 top end I only paid 240 shipped for the whole motor so I got a really good deal it will more than likely be resleeved, I haven't looked to really see what type of cylinder it is I just got it yesterday and only had a few moments to snap some pics of it. I will find out tonight after work hopefully to really know what it is. but I'm not too worried about it since I got a steal on it and the guy had a receipt from ct racing for it. we will soon find out.

so i figured out what was done which the seller neglected to mention is they sent it to ct and had them resleeve a stock cylinder, the ct package for 900...i still got a good deal, i got it cheap and it will be brough back to life stronger and better.

is this gonna be the long rod? and hell for that price id rock it. little sad you bought it for the topend but is a stock jug resleeved and needs resleeved. still a good deal tho.
