Does all Blasters ride this crappy !?!

Hey all,

From riding my Blaster these past several months, I have come to realize that the suspension is just terrible...

I have been riding in a new place lately- its mostly sand and pretty smooth... But theres areas in between that are just bumpy hard sand. Unless I am going slow, my Blaster just beats me to death !!

Ive been riding several different kinds of quads also and they seem to handle the bumps much better.. My friends Raptor can FLY across the sand bumps- no problem. Even my friends Banshee is nice.. I am almost afraid to go fast, I feel like I am going to hit a bump and go flying off !!!

Anyway, I realize that these are cheap quads and the suspension is pretty cheap.

My question is- if I were to uprade the shocks all around w/ better ones. Would I notice that much of a difference, and would I be able to ride faster over rougher terrain ??

Thanks for any info...

If so, what does everyone recommend that won't destroy my wallet?

Thanks !!

yeah they are pretty bad .. i found a great deal for wp racing shocks they are just as good as works shock and they are sooo nice compared to the stocks i am glade i picked em up .. u can always get a 400ex rear and the banshee front shocks i herd they are better then the stockers ..

they will make a a difference, and yes the blaster's suspension is horrible, if i were you get the 400ex rear shock and yfz450 in the front, but for the yfz450 you will need a diamond j widening kit

blaster suspension isn't the best but it isn't that bad really if you have it set up right then it has quite a nice ride over bumps however as soon as you catch some air it will bottom out which sucks i am deciding over a 400ex shock or a 250r with banshee fronts or yfz with cut springs to make them a bit easier to mount with +2 alba a arms

so either way if I get the yfz or banshee fronts I'd have to get a widening kit...

thanks friend, i've been wanting to upgrade but dreaded the thought of a widening kit..appreciate it!

are banshee from shocks worth it? how much of an improvment. im like 210 lbs and do jumps and rough trails so id like soft, but not bottom out while jumping. for now, just fronts. the rears ok for now.

I would say theyre better improvment.
Arent Banshees much heavier??

So I dont see you having a problem at 210 lbs

I installed a 250R rear shock over the weekend and man what a difference !!

I was FLYING over some pretty rough ground yesterday and I was actually able to keep my ass on the seat w/o getting beat to death !!

My friend on his Raptor was very impressed.. He's like man, you were hauling ass down that trail !! :D

The front is still pretty harsh, but thats next..

Anyone lookin to upgrade, pick up the 250 shock. It takes about 15 minutes to install with very little modification..
