does 30psi of compression mean i need a new top end

i tried a new spark plug right now and i did a compression test and i cant get it to go up any higher than 30psi!!! i even tried putting it on twice and same thing! i did it till my foot got tired

yeah ,i kicked it like 20 times and got the same result after purging it twice X(

make sure that you're not leaking air out the headgasket.



sounds like you're probably going to be rebuilding the top end soon

Hmmm how hard is it to kick? I mean is it so easy that you can just push it down easily with your hand? 30psi is a little extreme. I'm wondering if the guage is faulty or there is a leaky connection on the compression tester.

it was a little harder until it died on me and never started again, i noticed the difference when i tried kicking it, brb im going to try it again

So it's not running right now? How did it die? What happened? You might only get 30psi if you have a hole in the piston or part of the rings broken.

i got it started by pulling it a little fast with a truck and dumping the clutch and when it did it would bogg really bad. it just died on my friend riding he said he was trying to do a wheelie

Nah dude...I mean the very first time it died...the reason your doin the compression test is obviously bc something happened to make you think you needed to do one....what is this reason???

that was wht hppend at first, we were riding it and it died and it never started again, it started once by pulling it. then i felt the kickstarter way weaker and i looked into rebuilding it
