DIY steering stem

So I decided I was gonna make my own +3 steering stem so what I did was cut the welds off the handle bar mount and the tie rod pitman arm? I am not sure of the technical terms but anyway I had some 1 1/4 dom 120 wall tubing that ended up being the same od as the stock stem I cut it 3 inches longer the the stock stem with both the top and bottom piece off mark off where the pitman arm is in relation to the handlebar mount and drill holes for rosette welds I got it tacked together right now I just wanted to get everyone opinion on it I know it’s not the strongest it could be but it’s at least as strong as oem
