I want to know various ways to paint my frame. I know powdercoating is a great way to have it done but i dont feel like dropping a couple hundred to have it done. are there any other dif ways to go about this?

some really good sanding and prep work, and some good spray paint. its nothing like powder coating but it can come out good when you really work at it

and always clear coat when ur done, i found that using about 5 coats of clear coat after the paint job makes the paint last a long time, and also looks pretty good! but like everybody said, agood prep and sanding job is the key to a decent paint job

Buy a siphon sand blaster ($20) and a few bags of sand ($5 for 50lbs) and have at it. The most important thing is to make sure you get off all the dirt, oil, and grease. I always use a pre-painting prep product. You can get it at most any autoparts store. Wipe it all down real good after sanding/blasting. Use a sponge it won't leave behind lint. As stated earlier it really is all in the prep work. I used a siphon blaster and a spray can for my own frame.
