I have a 200 blaster and when I am out riding it cuts out in top end as if it run out of gas. It shuts down and I have to wait until it stops before it will restart. I have replaced the pistion to a 66.50mm, rebilt the carb replaced the reeds and removed the tors. No matter what I do with the carb it acts the same. It will takes off like a jet off the line as long as I do not stay on the gas for a long time. If it can be replaced I have done it and nothing seems to help what am I missing? It was doing it before the rebuild it was the reason I did the rebuild. It also has a K&N air filter with six hles added to the air box on it could that be the problem I just do not know anymore.

check inside your tank too see if your petcock is pluged? i have seen it before on other bikes the screen gets plugged and restricts flow ie starving for fuel @wot

i believe it to be a fuel problem or air problem also. running no airbox will relieve air vacuum/constriction your motor wants or puts on the carb and run leaner meaning it puts less vacuum on the carb to suck gas through carb. when you put the filter on it it creates a bigger vacuum and you suck more gas through the carb to a certain extent and it's why your idle goes up. the choke works the same way by putting more gas in on start ups and normally will idle higher until you take the choke off. if it was strictly an air problem wot would be sluggish but i don't think it would shut down the motor so i would lean more toward it being a fuel delivery problem. pull your gas line off carb and let it run into a jug and make sure you have good fuel flow. if you have a inline fuel filter make sure you check that it might be plugged and also if flow is restricted from gas tank it could be your petcock or your gas cap could be restricting air. one way to check is run it until it dies then listen careful and see if there is alot of pressure released from your gas tank when you take your gas cap off. then check your carb and make sure everything is clean and check your float bowl adjustment it might be adjusted to low and your running your bowl dry.
