I'm new to these forums and trying to do things in the right section~
I have stock 96 blaster and, the guy that owned it before me painted the Crankcase (the kickstart side of it). when he painted it some paint drip down along the seal part. The only reason i know is cause the seal blew when i was riding. Didnt lose much gear oil and all the gears look fine, but it was leaking good.
So i took of the case and used steel wool and a razor and scrapped off the paint on the seal and ordered a new seal as well as all new screws/dolls/bolts (some were worn/stripped heads)
I was wondering should i use a gasket sealer w/ the new stock gasket (can buy at any auto parts store) or should i just use the gasket by itself no sealer. i cleaned out the case really good cause of small metal pieces and paint pieces that came off.
thx for the help everyone
