My blaster was running good then it started breaking up at high rpms and kept getting worse. Now its back firing and every time it backfires a puff of smoke comes out my breather, and I've noticed oil coming out f the shifter seal and other places like that. I cleaned the carb, checked the reeds, new plug, and checked the flywheel key. All I can think of it pressure from the top end getting into the tranny and causing an airleak. What you guys think ?

could be a seal. either a crank seal or the case halfs were the crank compartment meets the transmision section.

duno, wild guess.

crank seals i would say...but it sounds like oil is leaking everywhere on your blaster. just replace all the seals and gaskets on the bottom end. you can get then on ebay for pretty cheep.

Yea the sad part is I just put a new top end on it, and the shop said my crank is just starting to wear and said I should replace it next top end. So If I'm gonna go threw all this trouble should I just do the crank ? New crank and bearings

plus, pulling the engine and splitting the cases takes time, so if you're gonna do it, you might as well knock out everything you can to keep you good to go for as long as possible.
