Will stock crank bearing fit on a 3mm crank? What are all the tools I am going to need to replace the crank and bearings?

yes the bearings will be the same but since your putting in a 3mm crank i would put in better bearings then stock to help with the more torque your motor will have. you will need flywheel puller. crankcase separator, clutch holding tool. since your going through the work of crank and bearings you should replace the seals also since you have it apart.

koyo's are standard and there is no upgrade per say....you can get just a set of crank bearings for about 35 shipped on ebay and bearings and seals for around 45

ok sorry...never heard of them...and i am amazed that they are even in business considering there are about 10 people in the world that would pay that much for blaster crank bearings....theres nothing wrong with koyos....there are plenty of bikes with 20 years on stock crank bearings and they are koyos i believe

i beg to differ you can upgrade to a set of FAGG (high end german company) hybrid bearings but there about $300 a set.

The book the bearing house has list all main stream bearings by dimension, the Yamaha YFS200 crank bearings are not in that book, they also told me that the additional suffix #'s are specific for that application, most likely for thermal expansion under operating conditions.
Also you must have missed the thread last week where FAG bearings were used and the cases would not come back together because the one bearing with the same # is 1mm wider, BTDT!

don't forget the crank puller. the case splitter pushes the crank out of the case halves and the crank puller pulls it back into them.
also snap ring pliers come in handy. as well as an impact driver. if you're gonna do this mod, it's a good op to change out all the phillips head bolts to hex heads.
