your crank should not have any pay in it rite. got blaster #2 today and i think they are out .what is the best way to tell if they are out?where is the cheapest place to get them?

Page 94 on this manual http://www.rydindirty.com/blastermanual.pdf it shows the exact specs, it does have some play depending on which part of the crank. You can get cheap on ebay, ive seen good used ones for 50 and new ones as low as 100.
not the rod bearing the crank bearing in the case

Sorry didn't understand when you just said crank. There shouldnt be any play in the crank itself.
take off the stator cover and try moving the flwheel up and down, if it moves your crankbearings are bad, should be zero play in it
