im not new to cooking.. im amazing with out door and indoor grilling, porks beefs chicken and anything else...

but im trying a crack at making abeef chuck roast in the slow cooker ( got one for our wedding and never used it)

this is what im workin with as the starter point..

beef chuck roast, red potatos, celery, yellow onoins and carrots... and oc course my own blend of spices, salt, pepper, garlic, and a little crushed red peppers for a slight zing...

anyone got any tips for making a super tastey meal here that the wife will love?? i dont wanna screw up my first roast

lol i got the basics, iv never slow cooke dether lol, im a guy when i want mean i want it now lol!!!

thanks for the input.. i was talkin with a buddy he said start it at 8 am tommrow and it will be perfect by 530-6

thanks man! i was starving before i read this not i got that sick feeling im so hungry and theres nothing nice to cook lol

the last one i did i let it soak in a barbecue mix sauce i made for a few hrs, completely covered, sliced it in the middle and poured some in the cut of the middle of it, using meat tenderizer and spices, and then cooked it in a slow cooker for 6-8 hrs and the meat practically fell apart. it was EXTREMELY tasty!!

when i made mine, i went to walmart and got beef stew seasoning and mixed it together with water and potatoes and carrots over night and then slow cooked it for 7 hours. after 5 hours, i turned it on high for the last 2 hours. it came out delicious. actually my wife made it. i cant take credit
