compression tester

Hi I was wondering where do I get a compression tester and what is a good compression for a 2 stroke motor. Thanks

Auto parts store, and if your talking about the yz 125 the compression should be no lower than 140 psi or you can damage the nickasil plating. Which then you would need a resleeve or recoat.

So just to clear it up for me my compression should be either 140 or above?

Yes, when the compression gets lower than 140 you will have a big loss of power.

Ok I think I am fine then because mine will still do great wheelies in second gear all day.

Mine will rev to the sky, and that was before the rebuild. Cant wait to break it in.

Ok I got the tester now I just need to take it somewhere to get it warm.....O yeah and I have to replace the center seal between both cases in my motor so why not replace all of them. By the looks of things the bike will be down for about a month great.X(

Mine was down for six, i know how you feel.

Yea but at least I still got the quad. I am going to be selling it this winter mabye I want a scrambler. 500cc 4wd GREAT suspension, huge balls. The only thing I don't like about them is they have no racks so I might end up getting a sportsman. And at least a complete seal kit for my bike is only like 30 bucks.
