clutch

my clutch isnt disengaging the gears. what could be causing this? the cold maybe?

have you taken the clutch cover off recetnly

no its been awhile since i took that off

its not engaging. when i start my bike and let it warm up. pull the clutch an kick it in first the bike jerks forward and stalls

does it have any tention in it like when you pull it the clutch in is it all floppy or does it have tention and also check your oil theres a lil window to check you oil levels

If it jerks forward when you shift into first, it is not disengageing. If it fails to move after you put it in gear, it is not ENGAGEING.

If it has been a while since you rode the plates may be stuck. If it's now COLD where you live the oil may be too thick OR you should warm it up more. The cylinder should be warm almost hot to bare hand especially when it's Kold out. Also, while it's warming up work the clutch lever in and out, many many times if you have to.

i just rode last night and everything was fine. theres plenty of tention the lever feels normal.

check your oil level what kinda oil and whens the last time you checked it

i havent checked it in a good while. i run castrol 10w40

when was the last time you chnaged your clutch ... you can also adjust the clutch by taking the clutch cover off and messing with the screw on the clutch basket

never lol. im the original owner so its never been changed

and its a 94 ?? you might wanna take that clutch cover off and take a look at that clutch and play with the screw idk maybe someone else will chime in

If you are looking at crank case it is behind the rear brake lever towards the bottom of the case
