so i sttempted to chamge my own clutch and didnt do so good i was taking the old plates out and the black ring that goes between the first 2 plates and the rest of them and its a lil bent i dont beleive it should look like this anyone wanna help please thanks

that looks f*cked lol i changed my clutch about 5-7 weeks ago and i never bothered putting that back. don't think its needed. i took mine out and my clutch is working a treat. before it was like trying to squeeze a rock hard as anything. but now works fine.
 
i dont think im gonna put it back it but when i had it in i had like no clutch there was way to much slack in the lever any suggestions

try adjusting clutch screw on the pressure plate. iv got mines screwed in a lot as i had no clutch either and mine just needed adjusted.
 
just leave the wavy ring out, won't hurt a thing, it's only to ease clutch engagement for newbie riders
i'm running my black bike all season now with a tusk clutch kit and that wavy washer is hanging on the wall

but some, including the "driveline performance" clutch i run in my sig bike, includes another full size fiber disc, and the smaller disc and wavy washer get replaced by it
