long story short my blaster was revving extremely high due to a clogged jet or debris in my carb, and me thinking it was in neutral let off the clutch as i was shutting it off which resulted in it flipping over backwards and bending the handlebar down and loosening the clutch lever a little. so after i got it going again i noticed it has nearly no power. from 1st it revs high and into second but there is no snap to it whatsoever. i went all the way into sixth gear but couldnt go faster than a slow jog pace. could the bent bar be holding the cable in just enough in and out to cause this? just wanted to get some feedback before i did anything im not familiar with. thanks

Just out the blue, check your reeds if you had the stock reeds (or weak reeds) in it could have broke them off or tear them because of the sudden burst of power.

when you rode it did it bogg or did it just not pick up speed?
and what did it do when you let off the throttle? did it veel like you were putting on brake or did it just role on.

reeds are good..it didnt bog at all, just revved high at the top of gears but didnt pick up speed.

Take the clutch cable off and see if it still slips or not.

Yep you can try to ride it with no cable at all. You have to push it to pop it in first but you can at least try it to eliminate that question. My guess would without seeing it, is its in the actual clutch pack or plates. Sounds like mine did when i bought it as used junk. I fixed my clutch problem but it was a little bit of work and buying new plates. Maybe you can get some other trouble shooting ideas first though.

got a new cable and still the same thing. took it off and it still didnt feel right-as in no cable like someone mentioned. it seems if you increase speed slowly it will but when you give it hard it just revs like the clutch is pulled in.

did you mess with your clutch adjustments?? Be careful and mark as you go so you know where you started. Im not sure which way does what thou...
