my clutch is really stiff. it only works if i undo the adjuster at the handle all the way. i tried turning the nut at the little arm on the opposite side of the clutch basket and it affected it, but it isn't getting any easier to operate. i can't pull it in with just 2 fingers. the plates and springs are still in great shape though, so what could it be?

you might have stiffer springs on your clutch basket (the 5 bolts with springs on them) i think you might be able to loosen the bolt to make it easyer but im not sure it they will viberate out if you loosen them

DO NOT LOOSEN THOSE BOLTS!! You might have the same problem with your clutch that I had with mine. It doesn't disengage all of the way. There are two push rods that go from where your clutch cable connects, to your clutch, and there is a little steel ball in between them. If that ball isn't there, than you will have trouble pulling in your clutch, and it might not fully disengage.
