hello everyone new to the blaster and 4 wheeler world. Also ride streetbikes. But anyways Traded one of my streetbikes for a pretty nice blaster with a decent amount of work done to it.the receipt the guy gave me says it has new clutch cable and vito's clutch kit.ok it was dark and cold so we did the trade pretty quick.(My fault).Bought it home off the truck and just tried driving it up behind my house.Well it starts no problems when when you put it in gear It jerks then stalls like the Clutch isnt working.I adjusted the clutch pretty tight at the handle bars.Still not working. What else Should i look at?.please any help would be awsome.it just pisses me off that i got ripped off by another dirtbag scammer..

well with me, im not sure if its a clutch on death row or just adjustment internally, but i gota rev her up a bit before i kick it into first, or she will stall. sounds like the problem your having. try giving her some good throttle before you kick it into first(obviously with the clutch pulled). should work for now, but im also curious about this. how should it be adjusted?

what do you mean How should it be adjusted. Also please dont scare me But noticed there might of been a hole in the crankcase at one time But sealed Really well..Dont know what thats about I dont wanna be scared and say i may need a new one or whatever...I just wanna ride the dam thing..By the way its a 2001 yamaha Blaster..So what else can i adjust or whatever..Could be becuz its cold or nothing could it?.Dont know whens the last time he had it running..says its been sitting becuz his wife dont wanna ride it or whatever. Also even in gear with the Clutch pulled in nothing..doesnt roll or anything

Ok One more thing I just spoke with the guy Said that it was never a problem that I should let it warm up for at least a few mins. That becuz of the heavy Duty oil at the bottom of the tank or whatever has got to warm up.Does this sound correct onto why its not shifting into first and the clutch is working right

well like i said, try to get her started again, let it warm up for a couple minuites. then when you go to drive it, giver her lik 1/4 throttle then pull the clutch then shift to 1st and see if it goes without stalling. if not, you gota take the clutch cover off and adjust the screw in the clutch.
