I just traded an 85' CR125 non running for an 01 blaster that has some problems. It wasint running when i got it one reed was broken and the carb bowl was full of crud the and floats had gas in them. I changed the carb bought new reeds. I got three passes and it died again, pulled it apart and found the same side reed had broke again. I have no idea what is going on. Does any one have any ideas? The only hop ups i can see it has is a 1/2 reed spacer, aftermarket pipes, boyseen pro reeds (now), and oil inject delete.

Would that be the problem with only one petal or both on the same side of the cage broken. I made some outta an old goggle lense that worked until it blew back through the stops, with the stock reeds on the other side. The only thing i can find is a piece of stainless cut into the shape of the reeds.

Go with the VF3 Reed Cage and Reeds. I put mine on the other day and they make a big difference. You will be satisfied. Well worth the price.

I just slapped in a new cage and reeds. It ran for maybe an hr then went down again. Didnt suprise me to find reeds broke again! We tore the stock carb apart this morn soaked it, slapped bak together ran it. Im afraid to put in v-force just to havem break again.

not a blaster reed cage but does yours have the chrome stoppers like this one has?

well now the reeds quit breaking after putting on some vf3s, but now i cant get it to stay running. i bought a main jet kit for the pj34 set came with 80 to 158 mains, got pilots 45 to 55, getting a dgh needle sometime next week. Ive tried every main from 142 to 155, and every pilot. It starts with the 150 main and 55 pilot and the needle clip in the bottom slot and air screw out 2 1/4 turns. It only runs for a couple of mins and its WOT to stay running. I tried to take off and it jus fell on its face, what could be the problem. It dont make sence if it was running before i changed to the v3s.
