I was just woundering what the center nut torque on an 05 blaster is? I just did wheel bearings and 51 foot pounds seemed a little much

The axle nut to hold the entire carrier assembly together?

I have had to jam fire wood into the sprocket and chain and stand on a big ass wrench before to get them off.....

Locktite, on all threads, tighten inner nut 40ft lbs.

Tighten outer nut 140 ft lbs.

Loosen inner nut whilst holding outer nut to 170 ft lbs.

Page 6-9 of the service manual.

Seemed a little stiff is that normal??

ONLY if Your playing with it! :D

Well 51ftlbs it is! But i have had to back it off a little to align the cotter pin hole. I always check those once a month, My durablue rear nut on the left side was loosing but new nuts solved that issue so far!

If you are having trouble turning the wheel after getting it to the proper torque spec, there is more than likely something going on inside the bearing pack.

If you have an 88-02 blaster, there is supposed to be a huge inside grease seal, inner roller bearing, cone spacer, outer roller bearing, small outer grease seal, spacer/collar to seal inside the outer grease seal, a washer, and the castle nut.

If you have an 03+ blaster it should have a small inner grease seal, inner roller bearing, cone spacer, outer roller bearing, small outer grease seal, spacer/collar to seal inside the outer grease seal, a washer, and the castle nut.

If you are missing either the cone spacer (or the one you have is damaged) or the outer spacer/collar the wheel will be very difficult to turn and you could damage something by running it that way.

It's not to to hard to move I was he if anyone else had the same result and slick nice signature u weirdo haha nice sig quote I made

Anyone know the little outer spacer that goes in between the outer wheel bearing what is it called whoever was the retard that put wheel bearings in forgot to put one in and the washer was grabbing the rubber dust guard
