What seals the 2 case halfs? Is it a gasket? What keeps it sealed? because mine didn't have one? I'm sorry this is a stupid question.

Ther is no gasket and on another site I am on all the guys say dont go cheap and skimp on this!!!!!!!!!!
I couldnt believe there was no gasket when I was putting my motor back together!

Three bond is what I use.
Technically it's not a gasket but more like a sealant.
Put it on with your finger and thin to win- thicker is not better in this case.
