I finally got around to working in my quad some more today. I split the cases, and found the carnage.
The wrist pin bearing let go and dropped pieces into the bottom end. The rod will spin free for a couple turns but has a tight spot in it. I'm gonna buy a new crank, bearings and seals.
The bad part part though is that when the pieces went through the crank I guess it wedged it into the case and cracked it.
Don't we have a member here that repairs engine cases? I searched but couldn't find him.
Maybe it would be better to find a used one.
