the rubber cap isn't really used for anything. I'd just put a little silicone over the crack to keep moisture out of the flywheel area

thats not the flywheel side, thats the clutch that you can see in that hole. have it filled with either JB weld or some welding and you will be fine.

look at the picture a little closer. Its the flywheel side, thats the same side the the clutch arm is located

if that was the clutch side he would have oil spewing out everywhere..... its the flywheel side. the clutch lever goes into the case and pushes on a rod that disengages the clutch on the other side.

one of my blastys are like this, its a common thing that people do when using a pry bar to remove the flywheel, the aluminim case cant stand the pressure of the bar and it cracks/breaks

blasterman is exactly rigt..lol..thats definitly the flywheel side and that hole is bigger than normal, and its from using something other than a flywheel puller to try and pull off the flywheel... screwdriver,prybar..etc..
I did that myself on another bike i use to own and fixed it with jb weld..and used a dremmel after to smooth it out ,so it was almost un noticable. other then water getting in your flywheel it isnt gonna hurt you much unless it cracked it strait through the whole case.
since then ive learned to always use the right flywheel puller !
