well i am just starting to learn about carbs and i hear people talking about putting something in the third clip possition what are they talkin about and what does it do.

Im not sure either, but im guessing your talking about the needle valve? i was kind of wondering the answer too!!!

yes they are talking about the needle valve if u take carb off and the cap off the top u will see a spring and a slide the needle comes out the bottom of that there are to philips inside the slide take them out and the cable will come off and take needle out and u can adjust it with the c-clip that is on it
im pretty sure 03-06 all came set at 3 clip position...

moving up and down a clip, which one does what?

ok if u move the clip up it will lower your needle drop the clip and it will raise it once u get in there u will see its easy and you will be like wow thats it believe me i have had my carb apart so many times i can do it in my sleep

i got mine set on the third which 03-06 came set at that so i let it there it all depends on the mods on ur bike and what not u gotta do plug checks after u ride it alittle to make sure its not running to lean or to rich then go from there i would try third clip
