i got a 250r carb from ebay. i dont think it should fit into the stock boot, but it slides right in. i don't think its the right carb..... arent' they supposed to be 34mm? where exactly are u supposed to measure? the throat diameter towards the engine is 28~29mm.....

THE 34 MM CARB IS A BEAR TO GET INTO THE STOCK BOOT, BUT IT CAN BE DONE. WE RAN A 35MM IN ONE LAST SEASON, WITH A LITTLE DRIMMEL WORK. TODAY I'M GOING TO WORK AN INTAKE FOR A 34MM I GOT IN YESTERDAY, TO BE GOING ON ANOTHER DRAG BLASTER!!!

NO, IT WILL RUN GREAT, IF JETTED PROPERLY. IT WOULDN'T HURT TO INVEST IN A JET KIT. BE PATIANT WITH IT, START FAT AND WORK YOUR WAY DOWN, CHECKING YOUR PLUG WITH EACH MAIN JET CHANGE.

ok look at ur stock carb manifold...

now theres that little knobby looking thing on top

you bore that out and connect a hose to it and connect a boost bottle to the other end of the hose, viola! ur done

oh btw i just dremel tooled my intake boot using the masonry sander and it worked amazingly.
now my 34mm PJ keihin the same that was on the trx250r fits snug perfectly! il post pics later.. i dont have time right now cuz i got work.

but um i plan on boring the top of the manifold to fit a boost bottle later on maybe tomorow after school.

oh and theres a boost bottle page that tells you all about them look around the forum for some threads called intake mods or sumthin like that.. sumone posted a website alllll about boost bottles and how they work and wich ones work best for what.

so uh when i get time later if you havent found that website inside the thread il get it for u but im strapped for time so im gunna bounce

acctualy i got 10 minutes so if u need a responce right now u have 10 minutes otherwise il check back at 930 when i get home

peace peace

oh and i HAVE an extra 34mm pj keihin so if we can figure out how this etrader thing works il sell it to.
il send u some pics and wel talk prices and what not

im located in montgomery ny 12549 local pickup is ok if ur close by.

way to far to drive for me for a carb. lol you like the carb? was it a noticeable power gain? pm me how much u want for it and shipping to 15658.

you should do a DIY on putting that thing on, with all the junk you have to do with throttle cable, honing the stock boot out, and putting on a boost bottle. and thanks guys, i appreciate it. this is the most help i've gotten from this forum in 1 day. :)

i put that carb the kid sent me on tonight (with lots of work!) and got it running. can't get it to idle tho, idle screw is the hole way in, and was playin with the air screw but still won't idle. will run if you just blip the throttle a wee little bit tho. jetting is pretty off i think, but i can't tell which way. i am afraid to run it too long if she's too lean. seemed pretty quick riding it thru forth gear, but it was dark out and the blaster always seems scary fast when it's dark lol. but going down the yard the first time when i hit 5th she bogged pretty good.... oh well i'm gonna send the carb back to the kid cause its not what he said it was.
