Carb boring?

hi,
what is carb boring?
do you bore the intake side of to carb that to make to hole larger?
how much do i need to bore a stock carb and how much HP will it give me?

I would change out the stock carb before boring it. There are two different angles that the carb is bored to. What I mean is that you taper bore the intake side at one angle and the other side is bored at a different angle to get a hard suction at the center section of the carb. I don’t see the results on a inertia dyno; but it reality the taper bore pulls harder on the bike; like coming around a corner or drag racing up a hill. It might sound confusing; but it works.
