Carb and throttle. Plz help

I'm new to all this. I'm a carpenter not a macanic. I bought a new mikuni carb off eBay. Being told now I have to buy special throttle cable. Trying to bypass tors as well. Believe I may have figured it out. Just need to get carb situatedsituated. I'm not good at looking all this up. Plz help with as much detailed info as possible. Pretend you are explaining to a third grader. Thanks by the way it is a 03 model.

you need a TORS delete kit, to add a regular carb cap in it's place, and add a new idle screw to replace the original on the TORS unit

kit includes cap, cable and idle screw with drill/tap to add to side of carb:..............

if your new carb came with a regular cap, you'll only need a cable and the idle screw kit ?
