Can't get my carb back on..

Try to loosen the clamp up a little more if that doesn't help you ,as hillbilly proud said try heating up the rubber to make it more pliable. You can do this a couple different ways, heatgun/hair dryer/ work pretty good but shouldnt be needed on a stock intake boot. Not to be a perv lol, but have you tried to use a little lube. Try a little wd40/dish soap( only a drop) or any kind of lubricant on the end of your finger and rub it around the inside of the rubber boot. If you use the lubricant method just be sure not to use to much, a little bit goes a long ways here because the excess will be sucked in through your carb. I hope any of the stuff i've listed offers you some help in getting your carb back on and your blasty running again. :D

I agree HillBilly Proud, Id prefer to see the OP use the lubricant method to be honest, as heating should not be needed of the factory rubber boot with a stock carb as I said above. I think some lubricant, and some good ol firm elbow grease with a little twisting and pushing action will do the trick just fine.

Well said Indread!!!

So is this blasty running now? :D

No. Needs brake fluid.. And I don't know if the carb is completly good. Clutch could just be the cable.. Reconnect lights and kill switch.

But what happens if you don't line up everything at the top when you screw it back it? I think I got it all lined up, can't really tell.

All of what lined up?

It's hard to explain since I don't know what it is or have a picture.. But it has the needle inside of it and a spring on top I believe..It has this notch that has to line up with something in the carburetor.. If you don't understand my terrible explaination it's alright.

Not flaming :D but this is a good example of why it's important to learn the terminology.8-|

He is refering to SLIDE, THROTTLE RETURN SPRING, and JET NEEDLE.
Slot on slide lines up with "key" in slde bore. Be sure that needle drops down into jet. Use care when screwing cap onto body as it's easy to strip cap or carb body.
