i have a blaster with a rd350 motor on it. im looking to get more power from it for trail riding and wondered who would be the best builder for that engine, ken oconner, passion racing or flotek? also any ideas on upgrading this motor?

If it was my engine, it would go right to Ken OConner racing.

Something is not right if you are looking for more power in trails with that motor. Compression low? Jetting off?

I recommend sending it to KOR. Great service and AWESOME customer service.

i knew ken wthe man for blasters i wasnt sure about 350s. it runs good i have to build a battery box for it and clean the carbs. it has straight dual exhaust with no expantion champers. i just want it to be at the prime running condition.

it will never run to its potential without expansion chambers. you can get a two into one connector and run a single pipe out the side.

i agree although i really do like the dual pipes coming out the back. i do have banshee exhaust i can retro fit. i was thinking expantion chambers port polished and possibly change sprokets.maybe play with carbs

ive always wondered about a banshee motor in a blaster. even though yours is the street bike motor, i would like to see good pics of the installation. i pipes could be made to work, but will loose some top end due to being cut down to fit the blaster frame. it still will be stupid fast. and being a power valve motor, you get good bottomend. i am excited to see this thing.

i will try to get some taken when i get home if its not to late to see anything

who or what gave you the impression a 2 stroke will run correctly without the expansion chambers ?
2 strokes need to suck that hot charge back in from the chamber to produce power.
if you install them, you'll have more than enuf power in a blaster frame.

i will try to get some taken when i get home if its not to late. i didnt build it i just aquired it yesterday im already looking for someone or info to fab one up. from my understanding that motor comes stock with straight pipes

i see expansion chambers of some sort on every google image i can find

73 rd350, it may look straight but thats an expansion chamber, just longer/smaller diameter than we're used to seeing

would that size expantion chamber be good or should it be larger for better performance?

if i'm not mistaken, some of the banshee guys are running banshee pipes on rd engines
is this a power valve engine ?

thats what i was told. i have banshee pipes but it looks like id have to modify the pipes to fit frame. i keep trying to upload pictures but it says image is to large

i think i got them up

at least its the air cooled rd350. the liquid cooled would have been a pain. is it quick the way it sits?

ive got it to start but the carbs are very dirty so i really need to clean them first. the guy i got it from said it has crazy top end speed. but we will see
