I have 2 2001 Blaster one is completly stock and has something worng with it but the other is fine so im trying to fix the broken one, it was running about a week ago, I was riding and it just bogged down real bad, but kept riding and eventually pulled out after a few minutes, but then did it again and died. It wouldnt kick start so i had a buddy push me and i dumped the clutch and it started but wouldnt idle. We got it started and rode home but it was running fine when we got back so we went back out and it did it again. Only this time it died and would start by doing anything, and it just backfired when i tried to dump the clutch. Have any ideas? I could really use some help.

Yeah i'd check compression first, it kinda sounds like your rings are just toast, and you might need a hone and rebuild. does the oil injector work still? are you running injector oil through it?

check the woodruff key. If the key broke the timing is completly off. It explains why it bogged and then took off, and the backfire.

before you do anything, go with easiest first, clean the carb, check compressions then check woodruff key, and check, ur air/fuel screw see where its at 1 1/2 turns out, has it warmed up recently where ur at, jetting can be an issue, might have leaned out and fried ur rings.

my guesstimation would be ring are fried... buddys dirt bike did the same thing.. ran fine than bogged out, 7489234572650259637956 kicks later it started and wouldnt idle and bogged out of you tryed to rev it, low and behold no compression.. well minimal

Yeah it's probably not timing, you guys are getting way too deep into the motor, you could say oh yeah your rod is bent or broken and it'll occasionally start like toyota's, it's probably something more simple such as carb, or rings.
