The wife, teen daughter and I all ride blasters, however, they are too large for my 6 year old son so we bought a used chinese 110 that looked brand new for a few hundred bucks. Well, everytime we took it out riding it would break down. Sunday was the last straw, it died in the middle of our ride so I gave it away. Today I go down to the local yamaha dealer and pick up a brand new raptor 90 ( well it was actually a left over 2010 model ). We settle on a price and ride it for a couple of mins and load it up. I go home, get the kids since they're off school because of snow, load up 2 blasters and go to our riding spot. I fire up all the quads and let them warm up and off we go. My son gets about 200 yards and the thing sputters and dies. It's got a full tank of gas, the petcock is on, it's got spark but won't run. Finally it gets to the point where it won't go. I load it up and we're back at the dealer 2 hours after we'd just purchased it. I leave it there and run some errands and when I get back they said they couldn't fix it. I was calm and understanding so I said well how about giving me another raptor 90 and the service manager says we can't do that because yours is used. NOW I"M PISSED !!! I didn't blow up yet but I got a little loud and said I paid for a new quad and I'm not leaving without one. The sales guy is shocked to see me as he has been out of the loop and doesn't know what's been going on. I explain what happened and he say's wait a min let me check something. He comes back in 2 mins flat and says I fixed it . Turns out the vent tube from the gas cap was pinched closed down by the steering column. I never in a million years would've figured that out ! To sum this long winded story up , the raptor 90 runs like a top and my boy loves it !! ............................ pinched vent line...... who knew ?!?!?!?
