I just picked up a brand new (2006) Blaster that had never been used (guy bought it a couple years ago, drove it down his driveway and never used it again). Still has the tags from the dealer hanging on the handlebars- I got it for what I think is an extremely good price: $2,400!

Anyway, I was wondering if you guys know if the California versions of the blaster are choked down and jetted real lean for emissions? I think the lean jetting causes bikes to overheat, so, on an aircooled bike like this I'd like to help her out a bit.

I didnt get the owners manual, so while looking for a replacement on Motorcycle Parts, Motorcycle Accessories by BikeBandit.com, I noticed they offer lots of different Clymer manuals, YFS200A, 200B, 200C,200D etc ;etc; and then theres even the ME,NE version of a clymer manual. How can I tell what exact model bike this is or are those letter designations meaningless?

Oh one more thing- at what point do you check the sight window for oil level, when it's running or when it's turned off?

Any tips greatly appreciated!

get the downloadable manual off of here, it is awesome! and theres a post in the DIY of how to identify your blaster by the serial numer! the number should be on the front of the frame somewhere (near the shocks)on a sticker and it will tell you every thing by each number!!!

oil half way up the eyeglass on the crank

remove your oil injector and premix there is a DIY in the DIY section

dont get a clymer manual use the service manual on here on blasterforum its the best and is 1000X;s easier to find what u need to find in it than the booklet clymer manual
