I just picked up a brand new (2006) Blaster that had never been used (guy bought it a couple years ago, drove it down his driveway and never used it again). Still has the tags from the dealer hanging on the handlebars- I got it for what I think is an extremely good price: $2,400!
Anyway, I was wondering if you guys know if the California versions of the blaster are choked down and jetted real lean for emissions? I think the lean jetting causes bikes to overheat, so, on an aircooled bike like this I'd like to help her out a bit.
I didnt get the owners manual, so while looking for a replacement on Motorcycle Parts, Motorcycle Accessories by BikeBandit.com, I noticed they offer lots of different Clymer manuals, YFS200A, 200B, 200C,200D etc ;etc; and then theres even the ME,NE version of a clymer manual. How can I tell what exact model bike this is or are those letter designations meaningless?
Oh one more thing- at what point do you check the sight window for oil level, when it's running or when it's turned off?
Any tips greatly appreciated!
