I have a boyesen rad valve I got off my parts blaster and I am reading that you need to drop or go down a couple jet sizes. Whats that about?
Also can I use boyesens power reeds made for my stock cage on my rad valve?
My problem is. I installed the rad valve with new power reeds for the stock cage and I have awesome low and mid range. Wide open close to top end it spits and sputters. I re-installed my stock cage and all is fine, but I want to use this rad valve. Can anyone give me any info that would help me tune this out. I run a 280 main jet, full LRD exhaust, .40 over, 28mm carb, no airbox lid, 22inch tires. Thanks alot for any help!!

i belive rad valves must use rad reeds not any old boysen petal set, when you flow more fuel into the cylinder by using the improved reed system you must compenasate and lean out the main jet and possibly needle clip adjustment to maintai nthe proper ratio balance
